Tomorrow we will celebrate Koningsdag in Holland, or King's Day. We'll celebrate the birthday of the King, King Willem Alexander, which is actually on Sunday, but since that is the resting day, the festivities have been moved to Saturday out of respect for religious people. This will be the first King's Day, since his coronation last year, on the last Queen's Day of our former Queen Beatrix, who signed her abdication that day. Now of course all this needs to be commemorated with a mani, hence this:
Today I have a mani that is part of the Twin Nails Collaboration! This month's theme is colours and me and my Twin-for-the-month Gemma from My Adventures In Nail Art are doing Primary Colours. We decided to throw in a puzzle pattern too, for it is still Autism Awareness Month, so all that turned into this:
Today a very spunky polish from Darling Diva: G-Spot. This pretty purple shimmer is loaded with sexy red glitters in all shapes and sizes... Teasing and exciting, this pretty will surely catch people's eye!
Over the past week, I've been getting my peeps Easter-ready too :) This is the result:
The first two manis were done with a new technique I'm trying to master: dry marbling flowers. I need some more practice, but I like where this is going! The third mani was done using a polish I won in a giveaway from Celestial Cosmetics, I'll be sure to post swatches soon! The polishes are amazing, application is a dream and the holo is mesmerizing. More on that later. The last pics are of recreations I did of a previous mani, that I really liked, called Daffodelicious! Perfect for easter, I thought, and my two friends from work happily agreed after I was finished prettifying their hands :) That was fun, and I now have two new hand models :)
It is Twinsie Thursday once again! With Easter on Sunday, Lothwen and I thought it was the perfect theme!
For this look, I used all of the Zoya Awaken Collection, minus Monet. Brooklyn, Hudson, Rebel, Dillion, Cole, and Dot were perfect for this look! I took a nail art brush and designed a different "Easter egg look" on each nail.
This was such an easy look to achieve and perfect for nail art beginners! It makes you practice some very important nail art tool skills, as it made me practice mine!
I hope everyone has a wonder Easter! :)
Make sure to come over to my blog and check out Lothwen's look, as it is SUPER cute. I'm definitely going to try it this weekend.
OMG Samantha I LOOOOOOVE IT! So classy and fun at the same time, it's perfect! The colours are amazing together. I want those!
I have another glitter gradient for you, I love them so much, I can't help it. I used an untried that I bought because it was so glittery and girly - Gosh "Girls on Film". I applied it as a reverse gradient to Essence "boys are back in town".
It's official, it's SPRING! So I did a little nail art inspired by the square foot of garden I have in front of my little apartment and that is filled with weeds and, surprisingly, daffodils! Also I entered it in a nail art contest, could you all vote for me?
