A while ago I won the entire Essie Neon Collection from www.livingdisrobed.com. I was over the moon! Essie polishes are so expensive over here... So when I got them, I started to play. I really felt like flowers, so I did this with a detail brush over Essie Blanc:
It is Twinsie Thursday once again! This month we decided on a black and white tribal negative space nail art look. From this months experience I've learned a few things. First, negative space is very hard- you have to have super steady hands, which I do not process. Second, Lothwen is the queen of negative space. Her manicure is awesome! Head over to my blog to see what I mean!
Sorry for having been MIA for a while, I took a bit of an hiatus, because I was busy with god knows what not ;) To make it up to you, I present you a limited edition by Ms. Sparkle, that started out as a custom order and turned into a collection. It is the "Yes, I Do!" LE, that is all about, oh yes, weddings! Right up my alley this year, as I have (had) 3 weddings this summer, the last of which will be this Friday and all of which I am (have been) the designated nail stylist (whoohooooo!). See here for example.
The collection is inspired by the poem for brides, with instructions to what they should wear for good luck:
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
So let's start with Something Old and work our way through the rhyme:
I have a jam packed glitter mix to show you, that I bought from Indie Polish. Once I saw it, I knew I had to have it! (OK, yes, also because of the name... I mean come on, Dory! Can't wait 'till the movie is out!) It is a little like Floam, which I don't own, but I think it has the same (awesome!) idea: matte micro glitters in blue and yellow, mixed to the perfect, opaque-in-two-coats concoction that is is!
This is 2 coats without top coat. Application is easy and it dries really fast. Look and marvel:
Gorgeous, right?! So fun and bold :D Now I wondered what it would look like with top coat. So I applied a butt load of it (it is after all very hungry glitter) and some studs, that Tanya, the maker, had included for me (so sweet!):
Ain't that DA BOMB!?!? So I'm just going to leave some more photos here:
I have a very special polish to show you, that mainly consists of shredded glitters! I have gotten to like shreds a lot and this polish just nailed the whole shredding thing. It's Loaded Lacquer "Disarmed and Dangerous" and it is just that, disarming and dangerously attractive...
