Another month is around the corner, so that means another stunning birthstone/star sign duo from Ms. Sparkle! We have Gemini and Pearl this month and the translations into polish are awesome, check it out!
A while ago, I did a manicure loosely inspired by my new shirt. Although the shirt is a bright flamingo-coralish pink, it has beautiful teal/turquoise patterns, with flowers and paisley. So I decided to do take the turquoise and the paisley to the manicure!
My base is two coats of Celestial Cosmetics "Celebrate with NYX", their celebratory 2nd birthday polish. This is just stunning. It is so bright, with so much linear holo, yet the holo doesn't even dull the colours in the shade. Perfectly concocted!
I stamped over it with BC-01. It is not the best quality stamping plate,
the etching on this image is so fine that the stampers have a hard time
picking up the image. But nontheless, it did the trick well enough.
With all that sparkle underneath the image, nobody will notice ;)
What do you think? I wore this for two days, lol, which is very long for me.
Tonight the season finale of Supernatural will air (Amara, Chuck, The Mark, what will happen?! Also, I WANT CAS BACK!). I only recently got hooked on this show, but it took me a disturbingly short time to catch up... that's how good this show is. Sami from Incidental Twin has of course know this for ages and she has created a couple of polishes in honour of it. The one I have is "The Righteous Man", inspired by our gorgeous Dean <3
Today we, a bunch of nail bloggers, led by the wonderful Jessica, present a special manicure for Roselynn of Manicured & Marvelous. She's been struggling with her health lately and we want to show our support and love by recreating one of her manicures! I've been following her blog for ages and she's a great inspiration. She put the concept of pond stamping in my head, but I had not gotten around to doing it yet. This seems to me the perfect opportunity to try the technique she taught me!
We have another fun link-up this week! The theme is Neutrals & Neons, super fun! As it so happened, I just got a new beautiful neutral polish from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics, so I did't have to think twice!
Today one of my dear friends got married. Yesterday I did her nails; we spent all afternoon coming up with the perfect manicure to accompany her dress. I don't have pics yet, so you'll get to see those later. In the meantime, I did my nails in a similar fashion, to manicurally (I invented another word, whoohoo!) celebrate with her!
Let's have a party with Ms. Sparkle, for her awesome brand celebrates it's two-year existence! Whoohoo! I've been there since the beginning stages, coincidentally, by winning her giveaway all that time ago. So I have two manis to celebrate, with this month's Star Sign polish - Taurus!
Another lovely polish from Incidental Twin is here for you! This polish was inspired by the show Pushing Daisies, more specifically the Charles sisters synchronized swimming duo "Darling Mermaid Darlings":
I'm really excited about the following post, which is inspired by my phone case. I've had my new phone and case since Christmas and I felt immediately inspired to put it into a manicure. I could however not find the right shade to match my case, until I discovered that Picture Polish "Big Bang" is a very near match! So I had to quickly paint this, because my phone case is already breaking down in every place, so soon it will not be picture-worthy.
Okay, so "Big Bang" has a ton of sparkle that does not match the case, but a little extra sparkle never hurt no one, now did it? So let me show you!
A friend of mine defended her PhD thesis a little while ago, and asked me to do her nails (YAY!). This was a tricky situation; a lot of fashionable stuff is frowned upon, so I couldn't go all out with the nails. However, it was a joyous occasion, so I did want to translate that into the manicure. In the end, I decided to do all nails a dark blue, similar to her dress, but with accent nails of a more festive nature.
The blue is two coats of Essence "Date in the Moonlight" and on the accent nails there is Essie "Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low" stamped with "Date in the Moonlight" and BP-L029.
What do you think? I was so honoured to do her nails for this occasion; if you recognize the nails; I also did her wedding nails!
Oh and the defense went great and she's a Doctor now!
Got another beautiful polish for you today. This is Picture Polish "Big Bang", a PP collaboration polish with French blogger La NPA Mouton. It's basically a Hubble Picture in a bottle. Aw yisssssssss!!! When I saw it over at Cosmetic Sanctuary, I knew I had to have it.
Happy May The Fourth! A while ago (I do not remember exactly when), LynBDesigns included this beautiful treat in people's orders for a special occasion: "May The Fourth Be With You", a varnish dedicated to International Star Wars Day! So let's feast our eyes:
I have an absolute stunner from Incidental Twin for you, which isn't even listed in the shop yet! It is "Mother Winter", from the Dresden Files line. Do not pay attention to the label on the bottle; Sami accidentally mislabeled it, lol! She was very busy at the time of bottling these. But look at the beauty she created!
