The Lieutenant's Xmas Mani!

Hello lovelies!

A quicky post. This is The Lieutenant's Xmas mani this year. I used L'Oréal "Midnight Sapphire", NYC "A Suitcase and a Donut" and "Full Metal Jacket":

I freehanded the trees with a cut-off striper and dotted the ornaments with my dotting tool.

L'Oréal Top Coat Confettis - Swatches and Review

Hello there!

Well what to say about this one. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. As soon as I had it, I loved it. Nothing like it had been available in drugstores before and it is absolutely perfect. Downside is that the bottle is just way too tiny. I already went through half a bottle! I love how it makes every base colour super duper happy, in such a nice and random way :D I already showed you a good while ago it my Paris-mani a sneak peak, but as promised, the real review! Confettis consists of black and white hexes in three sizes, and with a subtle shimmer, that dries to a satin finish.

Now onto some pics, 'ey? This is Top Coat Confettis over Bourjois "Sunny Sunday":

Now that is just brilliant, isn't it? I wore this for a couple of days, happily :D It really caught people's attention! Now a different colour, Hunkemöller Sexy Nails "Bright Pink" (swatches available next Swatch-It Sunday ;-) ). I topped it all off with a shiney top coat, and then I added some Hema matte top coat over my ring finger:

Direct sunlight, matte:

Direct Sunlight, glossy:

Excellent combination again, if I say so myself! Now the polish needs some dabbing, but otherwise applies easily. One coat and you're done. Then some top coat to make it glossy or matte, whichever you prefer. Or none at all if you like the satin finish!

Skittled It!

Hey hey!

How you doin'?!

Last weekend I had a family party and my second cousin had asked me to bring some nail stuff. So I did and she came up with this!

I used NYC "City Blackout" for the black, Catrice "Aretha's R-E-S-P-I-N-K" for the pink, a black striper, l'Oreal "Confetti" top coat, Essence "Party All Night Long" for the pink flakie gradient and multicoloured caviar from Max.

Friends on Friday: Two different gradients

Hello Ladies!

Time for some friends' nails :) One of my friends gave me a small collection of Columbian nail polish, of the brand Vogue. I have yet to do swatches, but I already used them in some nail art on The Lieutenant's nails. My friend gave me 4 of the most vibrant neon colours ever and I fell in love with them instantly. I had a design in mind for a while, but I didn't have the appropriate nail polish, and while I was almost about to break my no-buy policy, she showed up and gave me what I needed! <3 Here goes:

I first applied a white base of Etos Long Lasting, and then sponged the Vogue colours: First neon yellow (Cítrico), then green (Limón Néon), then orange-ish red (Mango Néon) and then some neon purple (Violeta Néon). Then I applied two coats of  l'Oreal Confetti on top, to give it an extra summer party boost ;)

The second gradient was entirely made up by another friend. She picked out all the colours and told me to do something with it. This is it!

I first applied a sheer yellow shimmer from Hema. Then I sponged on some Hema no. 19 and some Essence "Purplicious". All yellow goodness with a hint of purple in the glitter, perfect!

Until later,

Paris, je t'aime!

Hi hi hi!

I'm back babies!
This is my simple Paris mani, I didn't have a lot of time... But I did get to try out my new glitter topper from L'Oreal, Confetti, a nice topper with  white and black glitter in two sizes, and some shimmer that unfortunately I couldn't capture here, but I will try some other time with another camera and sunlight ;)

The Lieutenant joined me, not to Paris unfortunately, but just for the mani :) I used two really fast-drying polishes as the base, because of the limited amount of time: Bourjois "Rose Cupcake" and "Rouge Velvet". I attempted an Eiffel Tower with my white striper, but it didn't turn out too well. Oh well... Paris was amazing, and I got to do people's nails over there, so yay! Will show you soon.
