Hello lovelies!

I recently treated myself to a whole bunch of new stamping plates, including Nicole Diary 104. I also picked up a lemon yellow fast-drying polish from Essence Pretty Fast collection "Yellow to Go".

Autumn: Abstract & Skittle

Hello lovelies!

I meant to post this a week and a half ago, but due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to. I had dedicated the following abstract autumn mani to fellow Dutch nail artist Soraya for her birthday!

Kads Chinese 023 - A Skittle Mani

Hello lovelies!

I recently treated myself to some new stamping plates and stamping polishes. Most of my brightly coloured stamping polishes were old and had dried up. I checked out Kads Aliexpress store and they had a whole box of stamping polishes for sale at a good price! I also picked up some new stamping plates from Kads. Everything arrived within a week or so, very fast!

I decided to use Kads Chinese 023 and a couple of the stamping polishes:

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Book

Hello lovelies!

Paper. I'm awfully behind on this month's challenge (which was supposed to be finished last Friday), but I'm not giving up. Thus let us continue with the best thing that has ever been done with paper: books. And the best books that have ever been printed are those about Harry Potter. Therefore:

Twinsie Thursday: Christmas Skittle!

Hello:)

Here is my post for Thursday! I cannot wait to see what you come up with! :)
Hello Lacquer Lovers!
It's Twinsie Thursday once again! This month the theme was Christmas Skittles. I love skittle manicures, so this was up my alley!

Penguin
My penguin smeared when I top coated it, but what can a girl do? :(
For this nail, I started with Wet n Wild French White Creme as my base color. I then took a Milani striper in Black Sketch and created the black part of the penguin's body, along with it's eyes. I used Zoya Arizona to create the feet and beak. The bow tie is OPI Red My Fortune Cookie.

Christmas Tree
I started out with a base color of Wet n Wild French White Creme. Then, I used my dotting tool to make the tree shape. For the tree I used OPI Did It On Em, Zoya Hunter, Sation Loudest Color, and an unnamed Pure Ice Green. To top it off, I added a gold star rhinestone.

Santa
For my base color I used Zoya Chantal. I started off by making the top of the hat with OPI Red My Fortune Cookie. Then, to make the fluffy part of the hat and beard I used a Milani striper in White Canvas. I added the eyes and mouth with a Miliani striper in Black Sketch. I used an unnamed Color Club pink for the nose.

Reindeer
I started off with Wet n Wild French White Creme as my base color. Then, I drew the head/body with Zoya Louise. I took a Diamond Cosmetics striper in Cocoa and made the antlers. The eyes were made of Milani White Canvas and Black Sketch. I used OPI Red My Fortune Cookie for the nose.

Make sure to stop by my blog to see what Lothwen came up with! I haven't seen her design yet, but I'm sure it is awesome!
I hope I'll see you again next month! :)

I love it Samantha! Thank you again! :D

Nail Art with "Made By Me" studs from Action + review.

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a budget alternative to the amazing studs from Born Pretty Store. I found them for 2 euros at Action's. The might not be as nice, but they do the trick! They come in different sizes and are not actually meant for nails, but they work perfectly fine. The size you want to go for is SS6, as seen on the lower right corner of the package:

As you can see, they come in 3 different colours: gold, silver and bronze. There are stars, squares and tiny round rhinestone-shaped pieces in there. Unfortunately the tiny gold studs are a much more yellow gold than the bigger gold studs, so you can't really use them in a mani together. But hey, 2 euros... So this is a mani I did with some silver studs:

It is loosely based on a design by Cutepolish. I tried to get indentations like her on my ring finger, but for some reason, I failed miserably. Still really love the bad-ass look of the studded nail. The rest is not my greatest creation either; My hands were really shaky. But the studded nail is just really cool ;-) The base colour for this mani is Hunkemoller "Vintage Pink" and the black is my  black striper from Etos and NYC "City Blackout". Everything is topped off with Hema Matte Top Coat.

Placing the studs is easy: I just put a dot of top coat on my nail and then picked up a stud with my dotting tool and placed it in the blob of top coat. Easy peasy! They stick perfectly fine.

What do you think?

Hot pink pleasure and random skittle fun!

Hey beauties!

So last week there was a family gathering, and I did my cousin's nails. But as I was doing that, two ladies insisted on me doing theirs as well! Now I had not counted on that, and had only brought really bright colours (and not more than 10, which is NOT ENOUGH!), but they did not care. This is what happened:

For this I used "Aretha's R-E-S-P-I-N-K" from Catrice and a black striper. Now the other lady wanted all different nails, so this happened:

The caviar is from Max Make-Up, the blue is Miss Sporty 320, the red is Essence "Kiss on top of the Rock" with l'Oreal Confetti top coat. The pink is the one from Catrice again and the orange is Miss Sporty 323. I used a black and white striper and a dotting tool to add the art. It is a super fun mani, if I say so myself! Each nail is totally different, so I succeeded :D

That's it folks!

Easter Goodies

Happy Easter everybody!

I NEEDED to do another easter design, because they're so cute, and I wanted to try bunnies. And chicks in eggs. My own nails needed to rest a bit (they're so damaged, I need to take care of them), so I did my moms nails, and gave here a crazy mani (with which she cannot leave the house, haha, they're not really sophisticated this time ;) ):

Whooooooooooooh! BUNNIES! <3

I used Essence "Upper green side" and "I'm bluetiful" for the blue, topped with "I love bad boys" to make it lighter. On the middle finger I added Rimmel "Cutie Colada" from their new Cocktail Colour in a Flash line, to give it more sparkle. The rest I did with stripers from Max and Janet, and some black polish and a dotting tool.

I wish you all a wonderful Easter!

Crazy easter chicks

Hey lovelies!

Looking forward to Easter? I am! Here's a cute and crazy mani you can easily recreate (if you do, we'd love to see it, so please share your design on our facebook page!) :

My right hand, no deco on the eggs, just a splash of colour.

I used for yellow HEMA nr. 19 (dupe of Chanel "Mimosa") , for blue "Peppermint" by Rimmel, the orange is Catrice "For Bright Guys", the green and pink are Essence "Lime up!" and "Very Berry". I placed the googley eyes (that one of my lovely friends sent me as a surprise) in the still wet paint. Then I took a black striper for the little paws, and some red polish and a dotting tool for the beak. With some white polish and my dotting tool I created the dots on the "easter eggs" and with a white striper I painted the lines.

This makes me super duper happy to look at. Unfortunately I now (on day 2) have the weird craving to pull off the eyes. Let's see how long I can resist... I always have that with 3D stuff...

St. Paddy Skittle

Hello beauties,
And happy Tuesday!
Everybody is doing St. Paddy's Day designs, so even though we don't celebrate that, we thought we'd give it a shot. After all, green is fab ;) So here's the skittle:

We used Catrice "King of Greens" (dark green), Essence "Ice Crystals on My Window", W7 silver, Etos Quick Dry (light green) (which was then topped with Essence "Stop for an Ice Cream") and La Femme (white drawings). The glitter on the pinky is a gold topper from HEMA. The upper photo is the mani with a glossy finish, the lower one has a matte finish (also from HEMA).

Captain needs to work on her clovers. But still, it's a happy bunch of fingers!

Glitter Skittle

Hey lovelies!

So after my Carnival mani, I was in the mood for glitter. And my sweet sister brought me my first magnetic polish! So I had to try it out immediately. It's a maroon polish from Pieces. I heard it can be tricky in the beginning, so I tried it on two fingers first. And OH YES it's tricky, alright! I got it to work on half a finger, hahahaha! You can see this in the picture. The rest of the nails I covered in Rimmel "Black Out" and I added various glitters, namely Essence "Circus Confetti" (with the large hexes) and "Copper'ize Me!" (the microglitter).

Now I love this glitter bomb! Whoohoo! And every nail is different, can't stop looking at it!

Who else loves skittles?

Skittle the Love

Hey  beauties!

I think this will be my last VDay mani for this year, since I'm kinda out of inspiration at the moment. I did a Valentine Skittle mani with lots of glitters on my own hands, since Kiss 'n Glitz had started chipping very soon.. Never an issue, as long as there is polish nearby! ;)

So there it is, Skittle the Love!

The photos above were shot in artificial light, the picture below is taken in diffuse daylight.

From Thumb to pinky:
On the thumb, we have W7 "Cosmic Mauve", with kisses done with Rimmel "Black Out".
Then we have W7 "Shirley Temple" with W7 magic beads, that I recently purchased.
The middle finger is done with Essence "What do u think" that I got from a friend :) The glitters that form the heart are from the Essence's LE Vintage District nail decoration kit 02: "Designer for a Day".
(Have been waiting so long for it to finally come out! There are only tiny amounts of glitter and beads in there, but enough for a whole lot of manis, and since this stuff is somewhat hard to come by in here, I'm super grateful for this! It's not expensive either, as goes for all Essence's stuff <3 )
The ring finger is Rimmel "Diamond Dust" topped off with a fimo heart that I got from a nail art kit from Max & More called "Nail Paradise". I don't like half the things that are in there, but for this mani, the heart is ok. In that kit were also the rhinestones I used on my pinky, pressed down in a base of Bourjois "Rose Cupcake", and I doodled a heart with W7 Silver.

That was fun! My nails sure are a happy bunch now :D

Feedback is highly welcome, and if you do have inspiration for another VDay mani, and want me to try it, let us know!

Yes of course there had to be a photo in which I do the dance while showing my nails ;) I had so much fun with this!!!
