Ms. Sparkle "Old Mother Frost" - November PPU

These products were sent to me for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Hi lovelies!

Polish Pickup is going on right now and I completely forgot about it! Here's Ms. Sparkle's beautiful wintery contribution to this month's lineup, "Old Mother Frost", inspired by The Brothers Grimm's "Frau Holle":

Comic Book Nails

Hello lovelies!

This mani was actually meant for The Digit-al Dozen's March challenge, which was inspired by books. I never got to post it, so I'm posting it now. Let's see if I can get back into a better blogging rhythm... Anyway, here's the mani, inspired by comic books!

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Fairies

Hi lovelies!

After three dark manicures I figured we needed some bright colours, so I tried to come up with something happy or cute and then I saw Kerry's manicure, so I drew inspiration from that!

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Werewolf

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Patronus

Hello lovelies!

This week is all about mythical creatures! I'm starting off with the one that can be conjured up to ward off evil, a Patronus. And Harry's Patronus is a stag, as we all know:

The Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres - Mythopoeia

Hello lovelies!

I must speak about a man. Not just any man, no, this man was a genius. He invented a whole new genre to put his own literary legacy in. Mythopoeia, the creation of myth. Thinking up not only a story, but a world, a history, languages, mythology, geology, geography... it's epic. The genius of whom I speak is of course J.R.R. Tolkien.

The Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres - Mythology

Hi lovelies!

One of my favourite story genres, mythology, is of course great inspiration for all kinds of nail art! I chose this particular design, because I had this awesome stamping plate lying around and I have been wanting to use it for ages. So here's Asian mythology for you.  I based my manicure on no particular myth, but looking at it, it feels like there is a story.

The Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres - Romance

Hello lovelies!

Keeping it short today, because it's waaaay past my bedtime. I based today's manicure on my favourite romance novel of the moment: Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins!

When I first saw the cover, it screamed mani to me, so this was the perfect opportunity!

I started with a base of Celestial Cosmetics "Poipu Sunset" and then created a gradient with LynBDesigns "Nightmare Revisited" and Celestial "Hokulani". Then I sponged on some mixture of grey, black and silver holo. Then I created the buildings and the wonky Eiffel Tower with Rimmel Black Out and a detail brush. The lights are Poipu Sunset again. I sealed it al in with SV.

I hope you like it, despite the Eiffel Tower's wonkiness...

Have a look at the other ladies' manicures below!

The Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres - Dystopian SciFi

Hello lovelies!

I like reading, but lately I can only handle the simple stuff. Dystopian science fiction is one of those things that I love, like The Hunger Games and Divergent. This manicure is inspired by the latter. Can you see what it is?

The Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres - Fantasy

Hello lovelies!

The Digit-al Dozen is back, with story genre inspired manicures. Of course this is another wonderful excuse to do a Harry Potter inspired mani, in the name of fantasy! I have recently been to the Harry Potter Expo, where I was sorted by The Sorting Hat into a house. Guess which one?

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Book

Hello lovelies!

Paper. I'm awfully behind on this month's challenge (which was supposed to be finished last Friday), but I'm not giving up. Thus let us continue with the best thing that has ever been done with paper: books. And the best books that have ever been printed are those about Harry Potter. Therefore:
