Christmas Frenchies

Merry Christmas, lovelies!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas with lots of yummies and love. I'm wearing this today. It didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, because I had a case of the squiggly hands, but from afar it looked great. I'm gonna leave it at that ;)

Twinsie Thursday - Christmas Stamping!

Merry Christmas, lacquer lovers!

This Twinsie Thursday's theme is Christmas! Lothwen was kind enough to send me some stamping plates a few weeks ago and one of them was a Christmas themed plate! There was one design in particular I loved: a vintage looking Santa!

For this look, I started off with two coats of my favorite red: OPI Red My Fortune Cookie! Then, using Rimmel London Black Satin and Born Pretty Store Plate 01 I stamped on the Santa faces.

I am in love with this look! It is festive and intricate, yet very simple!

I haven't seen Lothwen's post yet, but I sure her nails look awesome because they always do. ;)

I hope everyone has a great day, no matter what holiday you celebrate!
I'll be back for another Twinsie Thursday next year! How weird does that sound?

Samantha, I love it! This super cute Santa looks great on your nails! I look forward to our swapping posts next year :D Happy happy holidays everybody!

Christmas Eve Mani: Silent Night by Jindie Nails

Hello lovelies!

Merry Christmas Eve!
This is what I'll be wearing to church tonight:

It is another beauty by Jindie Nails, called Silent Night. Now here's why I HAD to wear it tonight: Tonight me and my family will go to church and we always love going on Christmas Eve, since we get to sing lots of songs and it's all about happiness and love. One of my favourite songs is Silent Night and it has recently been banned from the official Book of Christmas Songs by some very old and cranky bishops, together with one of my other favourite songs about the shepherds, which is I think a typical Dutch song (so I don't think many of you know it). Both songs are classics, they're the first songs one learns as a child, and now they've been deemed not good enough anymore. I will refrain from further conveying my thoughts and feelings on the matter, as they are not very Christmassy.

Tonight however, my mani is one of protest and rebellion and I hope that the folks who put together tonight's mass share my state of mind.

<I'm back from church and YES THEY TOTALLY REBELLED! They sang it twice, once at the beginning and once at the end :D>

I even made jewelry...

LOVE IT LOVE IT! Oh as for the polish: Little bits of fishing for the big glitters, but opaque in two easy coats and just amazing.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!!

More Christmas Manis!

Hello lovelies!

The Lieutenant's Sister and Mom are in town, whoohoo! Celebratory manis were in order :D Lieutenant's Sister got Xmassed:

I used Cadillacquer "Masterpiece", a red unnamed from Japan and Essence "A Walk in the Park". The Lieutenant's bf said: "Christmas Turds!". I guess that's true, lol ;-)

The Lieutenant's Mom chose one of my sophisticated quiet designs:

I used Salon Nails no. 20 as a base and freehanded the roses with pink, white, red and 2 shades of green. Family Lieutenant:
For Xmas, I made them some nail polish rings! My first nail polish jewellery! I plan to make more, lots and lots more...

I used Maybelling Color Show Brocades "Knitted Gold", "Rosy Rosettes" and Rimmel "Moon Walking" for these. Soooo pretty! <3 They thought so too :)

The Lieutenant's Xmas Mani!

Hello lovelies!

A quicky post. This is The Lieutenant's Xmas mani this year. I used L'Oréal "Midnight Sapphire", NYC "A Suitcase and a Donut" and "Full Metal Jacket":

I freehanded the trees with a cut-off striper and dotted the ornaments with my dotting tool.

Polish Me Silly: Tree-Mendous

Hello lovelies!

I ordered some pretties from Polish Me Silly on Black Friday... They have such happy polishes! I stumbled upon a lovely Christmas polish: Tree-Mendous. Look at it:

Isn't that the perfect jolly Christmas Tree? I think so! This is just one coat over Catrice "I'm Not A Greenager". I wore it to the Christmas Breakfast at work. It was a lovely contrast to my black-and-grey outfit :D
It applied really well and there was almost no need for fishing, when it came to the stars. That was very nice. I topped it off with some glitter food (Nail Pattern Boldness) and sealed it in with SV.

Love love love it! I'm definitely going to wear this again during ACTUAL Christmas ;-) The polish can be purchased here.

Twinsie Thursday: Christmas Skittle!

Hello:)

Here is my post for Thursday! I cannot wait to see what you come up with! :)
Hello Lacquer Lovers!
It's Twinsie Thursday once again! This month the theme was Christmas Skittles. I love skittle manicures, so this was up my alley!

Penguin
My penguin smeared when I top coated it, but what can a girl do? :(
For this nail, I started with Wet n Wild French White Creme as my base color. I then took a Milani striper in Black Sketch and created the black part of the penguin's body, along with it's eyes. I used Zoya Arizona to create the feet and beak. The bow tie is OPI Red My Fortune Cookie.

Christmas Tree
I started out with a base color of Wet n Wild French White Creme. Then, I used my dotting tool to make the tree shape. For the tree I used OPI Did It On Em, Zoya Hunter, Sation Loudest Color, and an unnamed Pure Ice Green. To top it off, I added a gold star rhinestone.

Santa
For my base color I used Zoya Chantal. I started off by making the top of the hat with OPI Red My Fortune Cookie. Then, to make the fluffy part of the hat and beard I used a Milani striper in White Canvas. I added the eyes and mouth with a Miliani striper in Black Sketch. I used an unnamed Color Club pink for the nose.

Reindeer
I started off with Wet n Wild French White Creme as my base color. Then, I drew the head/body with Zoya Louise. I took a Diamond Cosmetics striper in Cocoa and made the antlers. The eyes were made of Milani White Canvas and Black Sketch. I used OPI Red My Fortune Cookie for the nose.

Make sure to stop by my blog to see what Lothwen came up with! I haven't seen her design yet, but I'm sure it is awesome!
I hope I'll see you again next month! :)

I love it Samantha! Thank you again! :D
