I hope you've all had a very merry Christmas! Simone from Ms. Sparkle sure did, she hit the 10K milestone on Instagram! To celebrate, she concocted a duo: "Celebrate With Me!". And it has cupcakes! Yes! Cupcakes!
I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas with lots of yummies and love. I'm wearing this today. It didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, because I had a case of the squiggly hands, but from afar it looked great. I'm gonna leave it at that ;)
If you were born in January, or in need of a present for someone who was, you're in luck! Ms. Sparkle has launched monthly duos for 2016 and I have the January Duo to show you! The duo consists of a polish inspired by the astrological sign and one inspired by the birthstone; for January, that means Capricorn and garnet. Let's start with the latter:
Yes, that's right, I'm trying out allllllll new stamping polishes from BPS. The ones I didn't get for review, I bought myself, as I got greedy and found that I needed ALL THE COLOURS! And I'm glad I did. Now I have yellow stamping polish as well! I used BP-79 again, a different image this time.
Not much writing inspiration today, I put all that into my thesis already. So let's just dive into the nails! Some indie love, it's been a while... Another PbE for you, called "Bajoran Security Officer", a Star Trek inspired polish! I'm not a Trekkie, so I don't really know that much about it, unfortunately, but the polish is truly awesome!
Sorry for having been MIA for so long; I had caught a bad bug and was kinda busy fighting it... But today's a happy day, for my Japanese friend celebrates her birthday! Since I haven't seen her in ages, I thought I'd do a mani in her honour.
This was very simple. The owl is a decal from BPS, which has a clear background, so I put it over two coats of Sinful Colors "Snow Me White". The other nails have a base of Rimmel "Funtime Fuchsia", 2 coats. Then I grabbed stamping plate BP-78 and BPS baby pink stamping polish and voilà! Top coat and done. I really recommend this stamping polish, it stamps super easily!
The pics have all been taken in my lightbox, as the entire day was so dreary, that there simply wasn't enough light! This mani sure improved my day, though ;) Oh if you want to go and get these pretties, be sure to use discount coupon code SXDQ10 at checkout!
So what do you think? Do you like my decal-stamp combo?
Happy ManiMonday! I'm super tired, so I'm gonna keep it short.. I have 2 of HEMA's new glitter polishes for you today! They are part of the "Special Effect Nailpolish" line. Let's start with the blue one, no. 91.
I often read questions on the internet on how to cure or prevent splitting and peeling nails. I finally found something that works almost instantly! My Cinderella hand had been splitting and peeling forever and I had tried EVERYTHING! Eventually I tried Herôme "Nail Growth Explosion", in an effort to speed up the nail growth process. And to my surprise, the peeling stopped! Let's dive into that a bit more:
I thought I'd spam you with intense beauty today, as the world has been showing us so much ugliness off late. I ordered these two amazing holos from Celestial Cosmetics, through the Hella Holo Customs Group: Hokulani and Poipu Sunset. They're inspired by Hawai'i. Let's have a look!
Happy ManiMonday! I have some holo action for you today, with pics I shot ages ago, but never got around to post. We've been having quite some rain here the past few days, so this bit of sparkly goodness does me good! Let's start with the base, El Corazon 423/34:
I meant to post these Friday and Saturday, in time for and on the time of Halloween, but both days I was not feeling well at all, so I couldn't muster up the strength to post these. Therefore I'll show them now and perhaps you can use them as inspiration for next year!
Let's start with a mani that was loosely inspired by Cosmetic Sanctuary. I did not have her awesome vinyls or her awesome nail charm (I ordered one, but it hasn't arrived yet), so I created this:
I got two (yes, two!) manis for you today, both created with stamping plates I received from LadyQueen and both for Halloween! Let's start with the Haunted House manicure :)
BOO! Mhuahahahahahaaaaa! The stamping plate I used for this is HeHe 057. I stamped with Konad black over a saran wrap goo mess I created using a base of Essence "I'm The Boss", "Lilac Is My Style", Maybelling "Cool Touch", El Corazon 423/32 and Mod Lacquer "Stunned". I thought it would look like a toxic environment, lol ;) Of course, I had to mattify it all, because it makes most of you happy!
The second mani is with Hehe 010, an awesome plate with sugar skulls!
I created decals with this plate and placed them over Incidental Twin "Ooky Redux". As you can see, they're really big, so they don't fit on short nails (unless you go artsy for parts off skull).
The plate stamps well, but my decal making skills had sort of vaporised that day.. I redid them a few times, but I kept messing up, so this'll have to do. I really did the best I could..

A while ago, I was approached by webshop LadyQueen and they asked me to review some of their products. They offer a wide variety of nail art items, including lots of Halloween stuff, so I went kinda nuts in that area! Today I have some of their super cool water decals to show you:
