The Digit-al Dozen's Stamping Week - Bridal

Hello lovelies!

This month's Digit-al Dozen theme is stamping, so I can legitimately stamp every manicure this time! Excellent timing, because I've been incredibly busy lately and I didn't even realise that the challenge had started until today... Since stamping is my go-to nail art method these days, I had some recent manicures on my camera, so I wouldn't miss the challenge, thank goodness! I'm starting the week with a romantic bridal manicure. It wasn't meant bridal, but everyone at work thought it to be very much so and, well look at it, they have a point!

Friends on Friday - Yay my friend got married!

Recently one of my friends got married! I was super happy that she asked me to do her nails :) She got married in a small ceremony, in a super cute dress, which you can see in the pics. The pictures were all (but one) taken by the wedding photographer, who kindly provided me with the pictures to share.

Today one of my dear friends got married. Yesterday I did her nails; we spent all afternoon coming up with the perfect manicure to accompany her dress. I don't have pics yet, so you'll get to see those later. In the meantime, I did my nails in a similar fashion, to manicurally (I invented another word, whoohoo!) celebrate with her!

Remember my friend, who got married, whose nails I did? She sent me two wonderful photos that were taken by their photographer Tiemen Eskes. Rather than adding them to the previous post, I felt they deserved their own post. Now although the pictures are not mine, I still added my watermarks, because you know, sometimes people steal and the work displayed is still mine ;) But I gotta say, it pained me to alter these beautiful photos a lot...

I have done a few wedding related manis for friends recently and I'd like to show you! Let's start with the bride. She was so beautiful. And I am so honoured that I got to do her nails! She wanted something subtle, since she never wears nail polish. [Unfortunately, I didn't get to take pics, you know how those days go, too much is going on and there are too many guests. It's ok. Afterwards, the bride sent me phone pics. Super sweet!]

Ms. Sparkle "Yes, I Do!" Collection - swatches & review

Sorry for having been MIA for a while, I took a bit of an hiatus, because I was busy with god knows what not ;) To make it up to you, I present you a limited edition by Ms. Sparkle, that started out as a custom order and turned into a collection. It is the "Yes, I Do!" LE, that is all about, oh yes, weddings! Right up my alley this year, as I have (had) 3 weddings this summer, the last of which will be this Friday and all of which I am (have been) the designated nail stylist (whoohooooo!). The collection is inspired by the poem for brides, with instructions to what they should wear for good luck:

Something old, 

Something new, 

Something borrowed, 

Something blue, 

And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

So let's start with Something Old and work our way through the rhyme:

Friends on Friday - Mint Bridals

Hello lovelies!

My friend got married and asked me to do her nails. I was ecstatic! But then I started to get nervous. I mean, if there's any day on which one needs perfect nails, it's one's wedding day! What if I screwed it up?! 

The bride was going to wear mint peeptoes, so we decided her nails should all be mint. For that, I used Rimmel "Peppermint". This is the result, and thank goodness, it worked out. That probably made me more happy than her ;)
