The Digit-al Dozen's 5th Birthday - Cocktail Party

Hi lovelies!

Piña Colada, Blue Hawaii, Matador, Painkiller, Zombie and a Singapore Sling. What am I speaking of? Cocktails baby! The last party I'm throwing is a cocktail party and all the aforementioned cocktails happen to contain pineapple. Pineapple is a very popular cocktail ingredient... and a wonderful excuse to use that awesome BP-L076 stamping plate ;-)

The Digit-al Dozen does Rainforest - Primitive Primates

Day 5 - the last day of The Digit-al Dozen does Rainforest! This was, as it always is, fun! I really enjoyed looking at my fellow nailistas' nails as well. Some amazing freehanding has been going on there... 

Now for the last installment: 

One of the most interesting species that inhabit rainforests around the world, is H. Sapiens Sapiens. Some tribes of H. Sapiens Sapiens have no or very little contact with other tribes and thus have preserved their original, albeit primitive lifestyle. I decided to attribute a manicure to these primates, with whom I share nothing except DNA, but who fascinate me endlessly.

Day four! When thinking of black, I also think of my favourite forensic scientist. Do you know who I mean?  Abby Sciuto from NCIS! And one of my favourite fashion statements of hers, the black lace umbrella, seems like a perfect excuse for black lace nails... I have soooo many lace stamping plates, you have no idea, so simply any excuse to use them, will do.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Vampy - Day One: Negative Space

I'm so excited! I got accepted to The Digit-al Dozen - OMG OMG OMG! I was jumping up and down! If you follow a lot of nail art blogs, you'll know that The Digital Dozen is an awesome group of ladies that come together each month to do nail art around a theme. I've always loved reading these posts, as everybody has their own interpretation of a theme, which inspires me a lot. This month the theme is 'Vampy'. I love the theme, although it proved difficult to come up with 5 very different manicures. But I did my best for you guys and I hope you'll like them! My first mani has purple, rhinestones and negative space...

Yes, that's right, I put half moons, negative space, stamping and holo in one manicure! I thought it would be a good idea. I had a job interview today and they know about my blogging. First, negative space is very hard- you have to have super steady hands, which I do not process. Second, Lothwen is the queen of negative space. Her manicure is awesome!
