I meant to post this a week and a half ago, but due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to. I had dedicated the following abstract autumn mani to fellow Dutch nail artist Soraya for her birthday!

Essie polishes are rather expensive over here, so I only ever buy them on sale. The last one I picked up was a shade of which I am pretty sure I don't have anything yet: "Kaf-tan". This is a trendy colour and I couldn't wait to try it!

Slowly I'm beginning to accept that summer is over and that we're falling into autumn. I'm focussing on the nice aspects on it, i.e. the non-rain related aspects. One of these is the fall colour spectrum. I'm starting with dark green!

The home I grew up in has a garden with some large trees in the back. During fall, the lawn is entirely covered with leaves and my father constantly feels the need to rake them. He did so just last week, when it was still autumn (this week it turned winter). This inspired my next manicure:

I haven't fully recovered yet, but finally we're getting somewhere! So I have a mani for you, a last-minute addition to the HPB Fall Link-Up! 

Twinsie Thursday: Fall

Today we have another Twinsie Thursday with Samantha from Southern Sparkle Nail Art! The theme is Fall and Samantha nailed it !

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

It is Samantha once again and it is time for another Twinsie Thursday! This month the theme we came up with was a fall inspired look using the colors nude, brown, green, and gold. This is what I came up with!

I used nine different polishes for this look! First, for the base color, I started off with one coat of Zoya Flynn (one of my favorites) topped with one coat of Wet n' Wild 2% Milk. I then used a Diamond Cosmetics Nail Art Striper in the color Cocoa for the tree branches. For the green leaves I made a color of my own using L.A. Colors Nail Art Striper in Bright Green, Jindie Nails Olive You (I named this one :p ), and Blue Eyed Girl Lacquers Don't Worry, I Don't Bite. For the yellow toned gold leaves I used Diamond Cosmetics Nail Art Striper in 14K and for the orange toned gold leaves I used 14K mixed with a neon Color Club Orange and Too Cute-icle Hot Shades. 

This is a super easy nail art look, so it is great for beginners!
