The 1st King's Day (Koningsdag)

Hello lovelies!

Tomorrow we will celebrate Koningsdag in Holland, or King's Day. We'll celebrate the birthday of the King, King Willem Alexander, which is actually on Sunday, but since that is the resting day, the festivities have been moved to Saturday out of respect for religious people. This will be the first King's Day, since his coronation last year, on the last Queen's Day of our former Queen Beatrix, who signed her abdication that day. Now of course all this needs to be commemorated with a mani, hence this:

I went for waving Dutch flags on french tips and a crown on the colour of our royal family, orange.
I first applied a base coat. Then I started out with the red, using Bourjois "Rouge in Style" and a little nail art brush. Then the blue, Hema no. 23 and then I added top coat, because red sometimes bleeds through the white. Then I added the white from P2 and another layer of top coat. The ring finger is 3 coats of Paris Memories no. 284, the perfect orange for the occasion. When that was dry, I added a nail charm I bought on Ebay with some nail glue from the local drug store. A day and a half have past, and I already have reapplied both of the charms, they are very impractical, but I love the extra oomph it gives this mani!
Happy King's Day, fellow Dutchies!
