Happy ManiMonday! Today I have a Dutch 5-free indie brand on the blog: Let It Glitter. In anticipation of the World Championships of Football (the soccer kind), she designed an orange glitter bomb appropriately called "Hup, Holland, Hup!", which are the words that we, Dutchies, sing to cheer on our team. We tell the team not to leave the lion standing in his shirt. Yes this all makes perfect sense, I assure you. Anyways, to the glitter!
Isn't it GORGEOUS! It's a mix of tiny deep orange, small metallic orange and medium-sized matte light-orange glitter.
Who knew there was so much orange in the world?! Together it is not only perfectly orange, but also incredibly good for summer, with its tropical feel.
I created the mani as follows: first I applied a base coat and then two coats of Essie "Blanc". To make it all dry faster, I applied some SV. When it had dried completely, I taped off the middle section of my ring finger nail and applied some red (Japanese) nail polish and Rimmel "Barmy Blue", to create the -90 degrees-rotated version of the Dutch flag. Then I sponged on the glitter to the tips. The glitter is not famished, so one or two coats of Seche suffices, depending on how much glitter is built up; using it as a mere topper will not require more than one to smooth things out perfectly.
For my fellow Dutchies, the advice is simple: buy this and our team will win!!!
As far as my international readers is concerned, if you are looking for a tropical topper, this is perfect! I imagine it being spectacular over pink, yellow, lime, blue... Yes, I certainly have a lot of good stuff in mind for this pretty <3
