Weekend Away Manis for me and my friends!

Hi lovelies!

So the season of taking weekend trips has begun. Not that I have many of them lined up, but I had one last weekend, a weekend away with the company I work for, to celebrate its 20-year anniversary! We went to Sneek, a little town in Friesland, a province of the Netherlands that is famous for its perfect lakes for sailing - which is exactly what we were going to do for team building, so I just HAD TO do a mani for that!

I started with a base of Madam Glam "Your Majesty", except on my ring finger, on which I placed some straight vinyls and created these stripes with OPI "Alpine Snow". Then on my middle finger I stamped with BP-33 and BPS white stamping polish. On my index and pinky, I applied some striping tape to create these thin lines with "Alpine Snow" and Cirque Colors "Reflektor". I sealed it all in with Seche Vite and then applied an anchor on my ring finger!

And here are my nails about to embark the ship!

Another friend of mine went sailing as well, on a different occasion, but for her I went mermaid-y. Didn't have a lot of time and I really wanted to use Celestial Cosmetics "Celebrate with NYX" on her, because I KNEW she would ADORE it. I was right, of course. She loves blues and teals and turquoises, so this was sort of perfection.

I stamped a gold scale design on her accent nail and embellished it with some rhinestones, pearls, a starfish and a sea shell.

My sister went away as well. She visited me the day before she left for sunny Italy, so a sunny yet classy manicure was in order. I decided on the following:

I created a gradient using the HHC customs from Celestial Cosmetics "Hokulani" and "Poipu Sunset". I stamped with BC-08 and BPS black stamping polish.

She sent me some updates on the  adventures of the manicure:
After two days, in sunlight - minimal tip wear.

On a sunny terras:

And in the beautiful Italian nature:

That was fun ^_^
I love doing people's nails so much!

  9. Nautical nail themes are basically one of my favourites. But I haven't really experimented on doing it myself because it seems so difficult to get right free hand. I'll try it maybe, sometime.
