Hello lovelies!
"Gradient +" was another theme from before my time. I love gradients, they're always a great idea if you don't know what to do ;-) I also had not done a glitter gradient for a while and then I remembered the box of glitter I was sent for review by born pretty store. So here is a glitter placement gradient:
Behold, the jar of three different sizes circular silver glitter. It looks like a tiny box, but man, there's a lot of glitter in there that I won't be able to finish in this lifetime! There's also a holo version of these and I must have them!
I started with a base of HEMA royal blue nail polish. I then took the beautiful oil slick tweezers to place the big glitters and a dotting tool for the tiny ones. I started with an even distribution and did a gradient towards a more chaotically dispersed distribution.
I sealed it in with NPB Glitter Food and two coats of SV.
I then was curious to see it matte...
And it's great! A box of glitter currently retails for only $0.99, which is including shipping, so I recommend you to go get some :)
And now the age-old question arises.. which do you prefer, glossy or matte?
This is such a cool way of doing a gradient! Love it!
